Main activities on fuel cells, electrolysers and hydrogen

  • Hydrotreatings: deep HDS, HDN, bio-oils HDO, hydrocracking and hydrogenation/dehydrogenation cycles.
  • Hydrometallurgical processes: fluorine removal production of zinc products.
  • Power to X: Power to CH4, heat management and catalyst development; Power to methanol: catalyst design; Power to ammonia: valorization of gases from steel industry.
  • CO2 sequestration and valorization: methanol synthesis from CO2 captured and carbonation of industrial wastes.
  • Hydrogen production from renewables: biogas, bioalcohols, bio-oils, etc. and wastes.
  • Hydrogen storage via LOHCs and others like iron oxide.
  • Injection of H2 into the gas grid: analysis of the mixture, RMS design and equipment.
  • Aging in piping materials and equipments up to 100 bar and 400ᵒC.
  • Energy storage. Material synthesis for thermochemical energy storage: perovskites.
  • Modeling and optimization, LCA, LCSA, techno-economic viability.
